Gosselies (Belgium): Auction cycle after site closure of the world’s largest manufacturer of construction machinery goes into its second round

In autumn 2019, the industrial auction house Surplex was commissioned to clear the factory site of the world’s leading manufacturer of construction machinery in Gosselies, Belgium, and to recover all machines and construction equipment. First online auction in October 2019 generated a large response.

A second » Online Auction has been activated on » surplex.com and it expires on April 2nd, 2020. It is now possible to place the bids. The auction offers, among others, high-quality hardening and heat-chamber furnaces from SERTHEL and AICHELIN, CNC lathes (two-spindle) from MAZAK and other machine tools. In addition, there is a broad range of workshop accessories, for example: automatic pickers, measuring equipment, test basins, workshop cabinets and much more. A short registration is required to be able to participate in the auction.

Also as part of the site closure Surplex offers high-quality gear cutting lines (among others from HÜLLER-HILLE, HESSAPP, LIEBHERR) in » direct sales. These machines will not be auctioned off, but instead sold in the classical way on request. After each sale – whether in the auction or by direct sales- Surplex will organize the dismantling and the transport of the machines and, if necessary, also take care of the customs clearance. Surplex is the only European industrial auctioneer to be able to offer such service from a single source.

Further online auctions are planned for the second half of 2020. The clearing of the production halls at the site in Gosselies is to be completed at the beginning of 2021.
